The passing of Laura Jane Van Schaik (Laurel, Mississippi) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 60. She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. Clark and Virginia Clark; her sister Jean McAlpin; and her brother-in-law Larry McAlpin. She is survived by: her husband Eric Van Schaik; her daughters, Erica Sims (Blake) and Sarah Ard (Zachary); her granddaughter Lorna Jane Ard; and her siblings, Richard Clark (Wanda), Terry Hosey (Phil), Sarah Kitchens (Larry) and Tammy Fowler (Al). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Indian Springs Baptist Church (500 Indian Springs Ch Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made in Laura's memory to Indian Springs Baptist Church Mission Fund.
