It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joye Lynn Butler of Laurel, Mississippi, born in Independence, Missouri, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Tony E. Butler; her parents, Lynn F Arendt and Georgia B Duncan Arendt; and her sister America Bernadine Callahan. She is survived by: her children, Becky Melton-Reeves (Billy) and Scott Hutchinson (Amy); her grandchildren, Kenneth Melton, Susan Melton Hutchinson (Chris), Jacob Melton, Brandon Hutchinson (Tiffany), Meaghan Byrd (Matt), Bryan Hutchinson and Brent Hutchinson; her brother Jim Arendt (Barbara); and her great grandchildren, Kayelynn Hutchinson, Abbigail Hutchinson and Emma Hutchinson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the BIG Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (28 Big Creek Church Rd, Soso, MS 39480).
