For Joy Lynn Thornton is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin McClellan "Ted" Thornton and Hilda Joy Buchanan Thornton of Heidelberg, MS; and her siblings, Marla Jean "Babo" Sicard and Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Edward Brunson Sr.; her daughters, Jodi Michelle Prine of Laurel, MS and Laken Nicole Brunson (Jordan) of Quitman, MS; and her stepchildren, Christopher Edward Brunson Jr. and Elizabeth Kay McPeak of Plano, TX.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Community Church (849 Lake Como Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
