He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas C. Gardner (Fredna), Harry D. Gardner (Deborah) and Janey G. Graves (Avery E. "Skeeter"); his sisters-in-law, Kathy Gardner, Dinah Herring (Skipper) and Kim Morgan; and his brother Richard L. Whitehead. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
