She was predeceased by: her husband Ira Gilbert; her parents, Arthur Welborn and Velma Welborn; and her sisters, Wilsie Chandler and Julia Pope.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Gilbert (Rhonda) and Gerald Gilbert (Deborah); her grandchildren, Chad Gilbert (Heather), Brandon Gilbert (Ashley), Brent Gilbert (Candace), Gabe Mercier (Danyel) and Erica Ashmore (Chris); and her brother Dave Moran (Brent Gilbert). She is also survived by great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Memory Chapel Funeral Home (3100 Audubon Dr, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
