We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2024, at the age of 87, Garland Edgar Rogers Sr. of Laurel, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland G. Rogers and Aline Dooley Rogers; his stepmother Evelyn Rogers; his sisters, Kay Rogers Lowery and Rosemary Rogers; and his son Garland Edgar Rogers, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Alicia Rogers Taylor (Jeff) and Charles Lang Rogers (Laurie); his grandsons, Garland Aaron Rogers, Charlie Rogers (Leslie) and Brady Taylor; his great grandchildren, Landyn Denise Rogers and Jaxon Lang Rogers; his brothers, Robert W. Rogers (Charlotte) and Jimmy Roy Rogers; and his stepsiblings, Lee Dennis and Dixie Walters. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655).
