She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Shoemake and Dovie Lee Shoemake; her husband Gerald Sword; her son Richard Sword; and her granddaughter Tonya Campbell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Carol Sword Dever of Homosassa and Sharon Sword Wittenburg of Laurel; her grandchildren, Angela Martinez of Moselle, MS, Eric Campbell of Deltona, Matthew Campbell of Onalaska, WI and Ethen Sword of Arizona; and her sisters, Sue Dick of Laurel and Kathy Hoppe.
