She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Cornelius and Lunette Anderson Bullock; and her siblings, Patricia Ann Morrison, Wynell Bullock Simmons, Jerry Cornelius Bullock and Thurman Osto Price, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Robert Earl Scruggs; her sister Pheobe Jane Matthews; her children, Robin Renee Goodman (Perry) and Robert Michael Scruggs (Angie); and her grandchildren, Adam Jacob Goodman, Avery Michael Goodman (Irene), Sarah Emily Parker (Samuel) and Sadie Flower Scruggs. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Community Church (849 Lake Como Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of Emily Renee Scruggs.
