Eileen Root Strickland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eileen Root Strickland of Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on November 2, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Root and Laura Lowe Root; her siblings, Neville Root and Beryl Marcham (James Ray Strickland); her son-in-law James Reed; and her great grandchild Adelynn Nicole Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Glynda Reed Robertson (Max) and Jim Strickland (Judy); her grandchildren, Dr. Steven Reed (Kendra), Brian Reed (Emily), Dr. Michael Reed, Laura Langston (Chris), Lyndsay Hofstetter (Jeff), Kyle Headrick (Missy) and Haley Rayner (Aaron); and also, Lisa Reed and Andrea Reed.
In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League in Laurel, MS.
