He was predeceased by: his former wife Anna Mae Crabtree; his parents, Acie Cinkler Crabtree and Lydia Dyess Crabtree; his sisters, Margaret Kay and Rita Taylor; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Kay, Ray Taylor and Claude Snell.
He is survived by: his niece Cathy Bumpus; his wife Pamela Crabtree; his daughter Jo Carole Eldridge (Daniel); his grandchildren, Ethan Grice and Emily Grice; his sister Gloria Snell; his stepchildren, Terry Burris (Irene), Robert Burris (Cherie), Jeremy Fant (Tracy), Patty Reiher (Ralph) and Amanda Hardy (James); and his stepgrandchildren, Stacey Campbell (Josh), Greg Reiher (Rebecca), Christine Herndon (Kyle), Marrissa Hardy, Zaylen Merrifield, Elanna Hardy and Cheyenne Taylor.
