She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto M. Wansley, Sr. and Louise Davis Wansley; her husband Grady E. Bird; her siblings, Lester O. Wansley, James Hugh Wansley and Joyce Wansley Blackledge (Sis); and her son-in-law Steve Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Bird Thompson, Patricia Ann Bird (Patti) and Grady Lee Bird (Joan); her grandson Michael L Thompson (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Aubrey Thompson and Aiden Thompson; and her brothers, Otto M., Gerald Ray (Jerry) and Jack D. Wansley (Brenda).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Laurel Community Church.
