With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Al Shoemaker Sr. of Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl Shoemaker and Patsy Ruth Poore Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Ava L. Gatwood Shoemaker; his children, Allen Shoemaker, Jr. (Courtney) and Shea Gibson (Corey); his grandchildren, Briggs Allen Shoemaker and Callen Blake Shoemaker; and his siblings, Gary Shoemaker (Janice), Pat Shoemaker (Michelle), Eddie Shoemaker (Elaine) and Lisa Shoemaker.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sharon Cemetery (4375 Sharon Rd, Laurel, MS 39443).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southern Cross Animal Rescue League 1712 Highway 184 East, Laurel, MS 39443.
