He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Myrtle Jones Savell and Cletus Savell; his uncle Ernest; his aunt Maurine; his wife Jeannine Rush Savell; his children, Angela Savell and James "Bubba" Savell (Melanie) of Lafayette, LA.; his grandchildren, Seth Savell, Miles Savell, Hannah Savell, Connor Romero, Lindsey Roberts (Kevin), Brooke Bonner (Justin), Heather Adams (Greg), Taylor Rupp, Sydney McKinney (Jake), Dylan Tew (Bailey) and Maddie Collins; his close friend Gumbo Roux; his siblings, Charles Savell, Katie Mae Cambre and Robert Bernarr Savell; and also, Jerry Sims, Ouida Sims and Paula Sims.
The family requests memorials be made as donations to Gateway Church in Lauderdale, MS in lieu of flowers.
