She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carpenter and Rosa Carpenter; and her husband Riley H. Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Gibbs Hays (Neal) of Nashville, TN, Robert M. Gibbs of Lauderdale, MS and Joan Johnson Garrard of Vicksburg, MS; and her sister Elaine Carter. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
