He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cyril Gideon and Lucille Buckner Gideon; his brother William Cyril Gideon, Jr.; and his sons, James Mason Gideon and Clayton Louis Gideon.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Kay Gideon; his son William Scott Gideon (Memory) of Madison, MS; his grandchildren, Jackson Grant Gideon, Sara Scott Gideon and Samuel Cole Gideon; his son John Clinton Gideon (Natalie) of Madison, MS.; and his grandson John William Gideon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
