He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Louis Wooten and Winnie Pace of Lake, MS; and his siblings, Louis, Eugene, Wilson Wooten of Lake, MS and Patricia Beckwith of Belzoni, MS..

He is survived by: his brother Jess Dilly; his sons, Richard Wooten of Lake, MS and Lance Wooten of Forest, MS; his siblings, Will Wooten of Jackson, MS, Tommie Stroud of Jackson, MS, Mary Blackburn of New Orleans, LA and Sarah Mabry of Lake, MS; and his grandchildren, Kaleigh and Madison Wooten of Sebastopol, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
