He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Cooksey and Dorothy Cooksey; and his siblings, Red Cooksey, Billy Cooksey, Jimmy Cooksey, Dot Bounds, Doris Thompon, Clydene Bolton and Daisy McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooksey; his children, Paul Cooksey (Melissa) and Lynnetta Cooksey; his grandchildren, Kalee Cooksey, Zach Cooksey (Holly), Morghan Renfrow and Jake Cooksey (Becky); his great grandchildren, Miranda, Hayley, Aleigha, Anderson, Sadie Kate, Eli, Christopher, Dominic and Haddie Claire; and his sisters, Pam Collins and Gail Tarver.
