With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Wallesco Stephens of Lake, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on July 8, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lacy Stephens and Beatrice Hubbard Stephens of Pearl, MS.; and his siblings, Telatha Stephens Rawson and Allen Hubbard Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Jane Ewing Stephens; his sons, Hubbard Stephens (Angie) of Greenville, MS, Dudley Stephens (Stefanía) of Iowa City, IA, Walt Stephens (Missy) of Greenville, MS and Matt Stephens (Amy) of Lake Village, AR; his grandchildren, Ame Katherine Sellars, Ashton Barnes, Camyla Somoza, Doménica Somoza, Rob Stephens, Emma Claire Stephens and Aubrey Stephens; and his sister Sarah Rawson (Hoyt) of Flowood, MS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
