She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Clyde Perritt, Sr.; her children, Billy Wayne Perritt and Shirley Perritt Maddox; her grandson Raymond Jones; her parents, Leonard Lofton and Minervia Emma McLaughlin Lofton; and her siblings, Eugene Harold Lofton, Russell Lofton, Joel David Lofton, James Edward Lofton and Ruth Hendrix.
She is survived by: her children, Herman Clyde Perritt, Jr. (Denise) and Sherry Perritt Parker (Danny) of Decatur, MS; her grandchildren, Michael Jones (Christine) of Forest, MS, Tammie Phillips (Chris) of Morton, MS, Jason Ramage of Brandon, MS, Shanna Horn (Justin) of Decatur, MS, Audrey Haralson (Danny) of Conehatta, MS, Jack Parker of Decatur, MS, Amber Williams (Keith) of Southaven, MS, Jim Perritt of Lake, MS and Billy'Freedom'Perritt (Megan) of Forest, MS; and her sister Sarah Mae McGowne. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - South (100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS 39345). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Kalem Methodist Cemetery.
