He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Gibbs and Lula Bell Gibbs; his siblings, Ida Mae Williamson and Herman Gibbs; and his child Dedria Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Sue Gibbs; and his children, Daphney Bates (Shannon) of Lawrence, MS and Chad Hillman (Penny) of Lake, MS. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
