He was predeceased by: his former wife Mona Carpenter Maness; his son Donnie Maness; his parents, Lee Maness and Ruby Maness; and his brothers, Wilburn Maness, Millard Maness, Alvie Maness, Trueman Maness and Burton Maness.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa Maness; and his children, Crystal Hicks, Phil Maness, Keith Maness (Ronda), George Curry, Tommy Curry (Stephanie) and Timmy Curry. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
