He was predeceased by: his wife Della McCrory Culipher; his parents, Virgil Culipher and Kattie Ray Culipher; his sisters, Della, Pauline and Lucille; and his grandson Danny.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lane (Misty), Charles Culipher (Michele), Sharmon Lane, Virginia "Ginger" Campbell (Paul) and Mary Ann Whitaker (George); and his sister Kattie Moss. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
