He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cotton and Alice Fletcher; his wife Gertrude Ngomo Cotton; his former wife Minnie Levy Cotton; and his stepdaughter Sarah Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Yvonne Johnson (Michael) of Detroit, MI; his granddaughters, Robin Campbell (Elwell) of Houston, TX, Trudy Musgrove (Wayne) of San Jose, CA, Dana Davis (Robert) of Clanton, AL and Kristina Johnson of Rochester; his great grandchildren, Myles Campbell of Houston, TX, Kerington Yvonne Davis and Robert Michael Davis of Clanton, AL; his siblings, Sam Stewart (Joyce) of Gary, IN and Emma Stewart of Jackson, MS; his stepchildren, Frank Levy of St. Louis, MO, Minnie Clark of Milwaukee, WI, Bill Levy of St. Louis, MO, Nora Polk (Walter) of Pope, MS, Fred Levy (Carrie) of Waterloo, IA, Clarence Levy (Lucille) of Columbus, MS, Josephine Riley (Larry) of Kosciusko, MS, Lawrence Levy (Vanessa) of Northport, AL and Lelar Keatonof Gulfport (O'Neal); and his son Rev. Carl Levy of Sallis, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and other close friends.
