Mavis Allen Obituary
On Thursday, January 8, 2021, Mrs. Mavis Mae Allen, a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother departed this life in Thomastown, MS. Mavis was born October 17, 1950 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Christine Hoye and Jimmy Riley.
She attended Faith Temple Pentecostal Church Mission, Inc. of Kosciusko, MS until her death. She was known for her undying love for Christ, sweet and kind spirit, unconditional love for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her best friend and husband, Nathaniel Allen; Her children: Ronald Murray (Tracy Thornton), Joyce Allen, Samantha Allen (LaKendric Speight), Bridgett Allen (Lamarrius Childress), D'Quavion Allen; Her stepmother: Lennie B. Riley; Five Sisters: Angela Lowe, Mary Ann (Nelson) Veasley, Dorothy Steverson, Johnnie Moore, Brenda Winters, Four brothers: Andrew (Sheila) Moore, Raymond Riley, James Moore, Sammie (Yolanda) Moore; Seventeen grandchildren, Ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, Two special God daughters, Sheila Jones and Lashonda Williams, who will always love and miss that beautiful smile and sweet spirit.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents: Christine Hoye and Jimmy Riley; her son Quinton D. Murray; one sister, Annie Jackson and one brother, John Moore.
