He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Dees and Lona Veazey Dees; and his brother Billy. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Oakes Dees; his children, Tammy Miles (David), Sandy Palmertree (Randy), Suzanne Renfrow (Jeff), Vanessa Ables, Amy Ramage, Danny Perry (Teresa) and Albert Whitman (Susie); and his sister Brenda Parkman. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
