It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanie Purvis (Kosciusko, Mississippi), born in Ethel, Mississippi, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Rone and Mary Oliver Rone; her husband Bill Purvis; and her siblings, Thomas Rone and Mary Gibbs.
She is survived by: her children, Wade Purvis, Sylvia Purvis of Ethel, Wanda Jackson (Glenn) of Meridian and Frances Voss (Michael) of Purvis; her grandchildren, Alisha Wilson (Tommy), William Jackson (Cheramie), Allison Jones, Lauren Lott (Will), Christy Gray (Matthew) and Matthew Voss (Katelyn); her siblings, Minnie Alice Rone, Hettie Bradshaw, Ibbie Smith, Nina Hart, Frances Lester (Dud) and George Rone; her nephews, Tommy Rone, Mark Smith, David Hart and Heath Lester; and her brother-in-law Dudley Lester. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
