He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Blanton and Netta Faye Blanton of Kosciusko; his sister Betty Joyce Blanton Longmire; and his former wife Claudette Burnside Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Maryella Blanton; his children, Jean Ann B. Warrington of Silverhill, Ala., Michael Blanton (Elizabeth) of Louisville and Jimmy Dell Blanton (Janice) of Yazoo City, Miss.; and his stepdaughter Beth Cummins (Frankie). He is also survived by two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
