He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn T. Armstrong; his siblings, Curtis Armstrong and Carolyn McGehee; his niece Paula Montgomery; his great-nephew Sawyer Armstrong; and his former wife Mary Lou Armstrong.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Myles (Wade) and Libby Rutledge (Mark); his grandchildren, Hamp Myles (Tiffany), Lauren Palmertree (BJ), Amanda Bullard (Kyle), Paula Tyler, Riley Tyler and Sydney Hightower (Chris Ball); his great grandchildren, Trinadey, Zoey, Mayson, Isabella, Bryce, Harper, Wes, River and Briar; his siblings, Ronnie Armstrong (Teresa), Kyle Armstrong and Faye Bingham; and his nieces and nephews, Jason, Tommy, Mark, Dewayne, Evin, Pamela, Emily, Marsha and Sonya.
