He was predeceased by: his mother Lovie Martin Tanksley; his former wife Olivia Ann Tanksley; his children, Jason Tanksley and Tammie Brown; and his great grandchild Koda Page.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hodge Tanksley; his children, Missy Stoneking, Sean Tanksley and Brad Tanksley (Dee); and his siblings, Emily Cox, Freddie Tanksley and Ernest Tanksley. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
