He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Newcomb and Cora Carpenter Newcomb; his wife Sybil Newcomb; and his siblings, Eva Mae Peters, Ella Quay Sanders, Herbie Newcomb and Howard Newcomb.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Linda Lane (Andy) of Duck Hill, Myra Smith of Duck Hill, Gail Havens of Duck Hill, Clara Dowdle of Grenada, Carlton Peters of Elliott and Clyde "Buster" Peters, Jr. (Gail) of Duck Hill; and his brother-in-law Clyde Peters of Duck Hill.
