He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Adams and Cola Odom Adams; his siblings, Janice Hammock and Johnny Adams; his grandchildren, Ronnie Pettit and Bullard; and his great grandchildren, Nathan Pettit and Kaleb Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Tommie Hobson Adams; his children, Gwin Adams (Pam), Ann Pettit (Robert), Karon Bullard and Debbie Myers; and his sisters, Joan Sanders and Jimmie Linda Sanders. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
