She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse McLeod and Ethel Rushing McLeod; her former husband H. L. Moak; her husband Rev. James "Buddy" Sawyer; her siblings, Harold (Pearl McLeod), Eugene (Jane McLeod), Carl (Lucille McLeod), Robert (Butch McLeod), Johnny (Kay McLeod), Donnis Granger (Alfred) and Norma McLeod; her grandchildren, Christopher Coon and Emily Simmers; and her sister-in-law Katherine McLeod.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin Moak, Hamilton Andrew Moak (Carla), Joseph Moak Jonathan (April), Cathy Moak, Jeannine Moak, Lee Ann Moak, Essie Slocum (Doug), Hilda Moak, Patricia Sawyer and Valinda Sawyer; and her brother Willie Ray "Red" McLeod. She is also survived by twenty three grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren with numerus niece and nephews.
