She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Forbes; her children, Dorothy Forbes Whitehead, Alan Forbes, Michael Forbes and Louis Forbes; her parents, John Ryals and Ada Yates Ryals; and her grandson Robert Whitehead.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Upton (Joe), Edna Martin (John), Lisa Delancey (Bobby), Glenda Garrison, Connie Edwards, Kay Thornhill, Dewitt Forbes (Lurline) and Tony Forbes; and her sister Christine Rasmussen (John). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
