She was predeceased by: her parents, Alcus Jacob and Clara L. Sibley Jacob; her husband Rev. James E. Wells; and her brothers, Robert James Jacobs, Willie Jacob and Otha Ray May.
She is survived by: her godchildren, Cenovia Burnes of Jackson, MS, Lahoma Morgan (Joseph) of Lena, MS, K. Maurice Tillman (Treniesa) of LaPlace, LA, Hailey, Ashlyn, Jonathan, Lauryn and Landon; her siblings, Alcus James Jacob (Louise) of New Orleans, LA, Alcus Ray Jacobs (Karla) of Houston, TX, Inita Jacob of Jayess, MS, Clara Shukri (Sajjaad) of Mesquite, TX, Sandra Wilson, Lueverta Davis (Knollie) of Houston, TX and Gwendolyn Smith (Bob) of Tylertown, MS; her siblings-in-law, Lacy Kirk Wells (Linda) of Memphis, TN, Naomi O. Harris of Denver, CO and Clara Johnson of Detroit, MI; her niece Starlett Shukri; and her caregivers, Vickie Baker and Onita Abrams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends.
