It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Quitman Perkins Jr. of Kilmichael, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Quitman and Bertha Turner Perkins; his wife Susan Johnston Perkins; and his siblings, Pat Howell, Jane Stanford and Luther Perkins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Betsy Watson (Robb) of Brandon and Katie Harper (Ken) of Brandon; his stepsons, Steven Lowery (Sheila) of Winona and Josh Lowery of Flowood; his grandchildren, Corey Harper, Alana Lowery, Mason Harper, Avery Lowery, Mallory Schetter and Brody Lowery; and his great grandchild Eva Lowery.
