He is survived by: his wife Patsy Banister of Jayess, MS; his sons, Sam Banister Jr. of South Carolina and Christopher Banister of Jayess, MS; his adoptive son Kevin Banister of Alabama; his daughter Bridgett Banister Holet of Alabama; his stepchildren, Curtis E. Lambert (Melissa), Veronica R. Delancey, Dustie M. Lambert and Patrick Lambert (Becky); and his sister Virginia Melton of Mountain View, AR.. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
