He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan "Johnnie" Dunaway and Willie Belle Lambert Dunaway; and his siblings, Johnnie Belle Boyd and J. Y. Dunaway of Grady Dunaway, J. D. He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Dunaway (Mary), Dinnia Coon (Benny) and Jerry Dewayne Dunaway (Angela); his grandchildren, Ashlie Payne (Kaleb), Zane Wilson, Zachary Dunaway, Drew Dunaway (Joy), Dustin Dunaway (Emily), Devin Coon (Anna) and Allison Coon; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Foster, Kylen Payne, Aliza Payne, David "Davy" Dunaway and Logan Dunaway.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Bethel Jesus Name Church (88 New Bethel Rd, Jayess, MS 39641). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
