She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bates and Bertha Mae Bowlin Bates; and her siblings, John Bates, Robert Bates, Marion Bates, Herbert Bates, Willie Bates, Aubrey Bates, Clyde Bates, Mattie Boyd, Audrey Ferguson, Ruby Brekeen and Doris Perry.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Harvey; her children, Lynn Harvey (Stacey) and Daphne Knight (Douglas); her grandchildren, Austin Knight (Shelby), Cameron Boyd and Kristin Carter; her great grandchildren, Kinsleigh Mitchell, Myles Knight, Mya Knight, Addison Freeman, Jamison Carter and Grayson Carter; and her friend Dian Anthony. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
