It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Smithie of Jayess, Mississippi, born in Walthall, Mississippi, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Smithie and Rosie Belle Ballard Smithie. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smithie of Jayess, MS; his sons, Cody Joe Smithie (Katie) of Jayess, MS and Wayne Smithie of Jayess, MS; his sister Peggy Cothern (Steve) of Jayess, MS; and his grandchildren, Anna Belle Smithie, Jacob Eli Smithie and Charleigh Kate Smithie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
