It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmitt Lee Wallace of Jayess, Mississippi, born in Lawrence, Mississippi, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Wallace and Ancy Bell Creel Wallace; his wife Mary Smith Wallace; and his sisters, Vera Mae Mullins and Freddie Ham.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Joseph (Clayton) of Jayess, MS and Jan McLean (Jim) of Ridgeland; and his brother Claude H. Wallace. He is also survived by three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson as well as a host of extended family and friends.
