He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Alford and Margaret Martin Alford; and his siblings, James Travis Alford, Hulon Alford, Thomas Alvin Alford, Mary Thornhill and Martha Ann Ladner.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Joan Alford; his sons, Danny Alford (Beth), Bobby Alford, Joe Alford and Jim Owens; and his grandchildren, Tristan Powell, Morgan Meyers (Andrew), Branna Owens, Barton Pickens (Heather), Ray Alford and Lance Alford. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Magee's Creek Baptist Church (174 Darbun Rd, Jayess, MS 39641). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
