He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Joshua Thurman, Joseph Dickerson and Jayda Walters; and his children-in-law, Elizabeth Dickerson and Lamarr Walters.
He is survived by: his spouse Donnie Nell Dickerson of Stapleton, Ala.; his children, Jerry Dickerson (Stephanie) of Jayess, Larry Dickerson of Jayess and Teresa Walters; and his siblings, Louis Dickerson of Tennessee and Martha Caston of Liberty. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
