With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jamey Stanford of James, Mississippi, who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 53. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jamey Stanford to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jimmy" Hoyt Stanford, Sr. and Lois Gilda Lambert Stanford; his grandparents, Earl, Zelma Stanford, Robert and Elois Lambert; and his sister Gilda Jane McCauley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ruby Carol George of Belmont, MS, Barbara Sue Morgan (Kevin) of Booneville, MS, Joy Okema Fritz of Tupelo, MS and Jackie Kelyon Simpson (James) of Saltillo, MS. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews; 46 great nieces and nephews and 45 great-great nieces and nephews; and a special friend.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home (506 N 3rd St, Booneville, MS 38829). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at the Mt. Olive Church of God (359 Co Rd 1371, Booneville, MS 38829).
