He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Burl and Ester Mae Smith. He is survived by: his friend John McAdams; his wife Carolyn Smith of Tupelo; his children, James Kip Smith (Page) of Tupelo, Kimberley Smith Waldrop (Terry) of Tupelo, Murry Kirt Smith of Pickwick, Tenn and Kourtney Smith Fox (Randy) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Desmond Kyle Smith, Hunter Dallas Smith, Samuel Christian Smith, Hannah Smith Bell (Hunter), Benjamin Patton Smith, Jacy Brooke Waldrop and Kylie Alexis Waldrop; and his great grandchild James Michael Bell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
