He is survived by: his wife Melba Shaw Murphy of Greenwood, MS; and his children, Donna Berry (Jerry) of Libby, MT, Sande Murphy of Bentonia, MS, Michael Murphy of Miami, FL and Hal Shaw of Madison, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
