He was predeceased by: his parents, James Martin and Vera Edwards Martin; and his siblings, Billy Ray Martin and Peggy Fugett. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sappington Martin; his daughters, Tracy Paepke (Frankie) and Kim Snipes (Chad); his grandsons, J. C. Wilbanks (Holly), Marshall Paepke and Langston Paepke; his great grandchild Martin Samuel Wilbanks; his brother Benny Martin (Leslie); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Cunningham.
