He is survived by: his wife Effie Whitt of Houlka; his mother Syble Whitt of Newton; his sons, Michael Whitt of Houlka and Scott Keith Whitt of Big Creek; his stepchildren, Tim Dobbins of Houston, Beverly Dobbins of Ackerman, Diane Staten (Ricky) of Aberdeen and Jimmy Dobbins of Houston; his sisters, Judy King of Newton and Janie Price of Big Sandy, TN; and his grandchildren, Jay Tee Whitt, Aubrey Smith, Doug Smith and James Ashton Whitt. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
