He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Baylis and Mattie Baylis; and his great-niece Phyllis Flowers. He is survived by: his wife Lee Ethel Baylis; his siblings, Mary Golsby, Lydie Bell Baylis and James Willard; his daughter Teresa Baylis; his great grandchild Journee Baylis; his sister Emma Jean Mitchell (Sidney); his children, Sharen White, Milton Baylis (Pat), Walter Carl Baylis (Ella) and Jearld Baylis (Lucy); and his sisters, Annie Bell Hunt, Verta Baylis, Martha Baylis, Sharon Baylis and Linell Baylis. He is also survived by great-grand children, nieces, friends and other family members.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Willis and Sons Funeral Home (5235 Robinson Rd, Jackson, MS 39204).
