He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Whitney and Martha Reimer Whitney; and his wife Patricia Whitney. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Savage (Paul), Paul Whitney (Christina), Debra Martin (Paul), Heidi Lohre (Marcus) and Robert Whitney II. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
