It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Hopkins Sr. of Jackson, Mississippi, born in Corinth, Mississippi, who passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dedrick Hopkins and Lotta Phillips Hopkins; his uncle Rubel L. Phillips, Sr.; and his aunt Margaret James Phillips. He is survived by: his son John L. Hopkins, Jr. of Santa Rosa, FL; his grandson Max Hopkins (Will Hopkins) of Houston, TX; his sister JoAnne Baker (Truman) of Tuscaloosa, AL; his niece Julie Baker Constant of Los Angeles, CA; his great-nephews, Bradley Constant of Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Michael Constant of Palo Alto, CA and Christopher Constant of Tuscaloosa, AL; and his former spouses, Carolyn Hopkins of Ridgeland, Rick Fountain, Jim Frazer, Cullen Potts, Jane Mapp, Joe Goff, Trey Sebrell and Richard Swartz.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John's memory to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
